First thing you should know about me is that I am passionate about weight loss and maintenance. In the past 19 years, I've witnessed incredible transformations--physical, mental and emotional. I've seen people get off their blood pressure medications, diabetes medications, cholesterol medications. I've helped people become pain free, mobile and active. Clients shed pounds and "baggage"--becoming lighter in every way. My favorite part is the bright twinkle in someone's eyes as they make the connection between their decisions and their health and life. I feel honored to have been a part of that process for so many people.
Another important thing to know is that I walk my talk. I lost 50 pounds myself and have kept it off for over 10 years. I know the journey first-hand and can relate to yours in a nonjudgmental way. Whether it's emotional eating, trigger foods, or over-eating I have felt and dealt with them all. Between my own experiences and those of my clients, I have developed insights into weight management that will enable you to succeed at reaching your desired weight and maintaining it for life.
My formal higher education began at Tufts University where I received my BA in social psychology. I earned my Medical Degree from University of California, Irvine and completed my Internal Medicine training in a residency program through UCLA. Subsequently, I obtained a Masters in Public Health there while finishing a research Fellowship. I have worked in private and University settings since.
